“Historical gem and awsome hosts”
You’re staying in a beautiful historic Dar on the quieter side of the medina in Tunis. The décor is tasteful, the place is filled with books, and the hosts are wonderful. Sonia prepares the most delicious homemade breakfast each day, and Marouane and his family make sure you feel at home and give great recommendations and explanations. The location is great for walking around town, and there are nearby streets that are car‑accessible for calling a cab. I’ll stay there again when I return to Tunis. We were unlucky with the heatwave; they gave us cooling fans, but it was still quite hot.
“Un autentico soggiorno in un Dar”
The blue room is stunning, with unique Arabic‑style tiles. The building isn’t entirely old in some spots but it’s very clean. The location inside the Medina is perfect for exploring and as a base for the whole city. The only downside is the lack of air conditioning, so the room gets very hot even though there are fans that help. Despite this, the owner Marouane and the lady who served us breakfast every morning are so kind and helpful that we still recommend this place even in summer. The breakfast is made entirely at home and is excellent… with pastries, eggs served in various ways, fresh juices, and especially homemade creams that are very special, like sesame, hazelnut, and vanilla… absolutely recommended. The lack of air conditioning is the only drawback.
The hotel was simply wonderful! Beautiful, cozy, with a very warm atmosphere. We stayed for a short time and even regretted leaving, wishing we could have stayed longer. And the breakfasts were amazing—so tasty! The owners and all the staff were very friendly. The owner told us the story of the house and recommended several places we didn’t know about, and they turned out to be very interesting. We left with great memories and recommend this hotel to everyone.
The building is historic and beautiful.
“Proprietario gentilissimo, dar molto bello, personale disponibile e colazione squisita. Voto 10!”
Everything was perfect!
