Motel 6 Rockford, IL – RFD Airport

“Locked in a lifeless jail cell. Couldn’t wait to leave.”

I liked leaving the property; it felt like a jail cell. The shower water was cold. The room had no pictures or anything to dampen sound, so every noise echoed. Odd people kept walking around outside all night. The room had no information, not even a TV guide. The whole place smelled bad. The vibe was like being trapped. We were the only guests at the hotel, and the room we got was on the second floor with a view of another building’s wall. The towels were disgusting; luckily I had my own.

“We didn't stay”

Not a Motel 6 anymore. I was told to cancel my reservation and rebook it under the new motel name.

No room service, laundry is in the next motel over which had only one machine that looked nasty and creepy. I did not get my deposit back.

Nothing. There was no one there but an off‑site computer operator who was from a non‑speaking English nation and the check‑in system was inoperative.

“We were great full for our stay. We just felt like service and quality could have definitely improve”

The location was great and we slept well. The mattress was very solid the way I like it. When checking in it took about 20 minutes because it was a kiosk that kept getting backed up and there was no physical person 😑 Finally someone showed up and the rest of the line was almost gone before we finished checking in. The office isn’t connected to any of the rooms 😕 The office area smelled like urine and cleaner. Thankfully the room areas weren’t quite as strong smelling, but overall could use an upgrade.
