I had a one‑night stay during a transition; it was clean, cool, calm, and there was no disturbance. The staff and owner were supportive. Some mosquitoes entered the room at night through the bathroom because the door isn’t sealed; they have nets and vaporizers, but I didn’t know.
A tiny private hotel with only 5 rooms, just one of which has air conditioning. The host is very welcoming and speaks English and German. You’ll be immersed in local life; they arrange everything for you—fresh fish, rice, coconut, fruit, tours, transfers. You can also cook yourself. Highly recommend for a long stay or anyone wanting to linger in Sri Lanka for a low price. The beach is close, there are few tourists, and the area lacks infrastructure. I really liked it. I liked everything!
The ocean is just 3 minutes away, with a large green area and fish swimming nearby. It’s a bit far from the main highway, so walking isn’t convenient. There’s a kitchen, and we were offered breakfast and dinner. The owner and his helpers are very friendly and helpful, even assisting with cashing money. The beach was a bit dirty.
Lal the owner is a super chill guy - Incredible Sri Lankan hospitality
The bed linen was an extreme mess, unwashed for months, used as a bath mat. The mosquito net had holes patched with tape, the door couldn’t lock and hung crooked in the frame because it was eaten by insects. Never again!
