“Замечательный отель с душевным сервисом!”
I was pleasantly surprised by the service at this hotel; last year I stayed in Vlore and the service there was almost nonexistent, but here the hospitality was on a completely different level. The breakfasts were incredibly fresh and tasty—eggs, toast, fresh fruit—and the staff really cared. A wonderful young man (I didn’t catch his name) served us, and on the first day he made exactly the coffee I asked for. He was initially surprised by the large mug—Albanians don’t usually use such big cups—but then for all five days he brought my favorite coffee with milk in that big mug every morning, which I’m very grateful for. The rooms were spotless, with daily housekeeping and fresh linens. The apartments were spacious, cozy, and convenient. We booked a room for three: I slept on a large double bed and my son on a single bed. The mattresses were very firm, which is perfect for me, and the working air conditioner kept the heat at bay. The apartments also had a full kitchen with a fridge, pot, plates, glasses, spoons, and forks. We had breakfast included, but being able to cook in the room was very handy. The only drawback was that the room can be quite noisy, so we used earplugs. The hotel is on a main street right next to an intersection, and driving culture in Albania leaves much to be desired: cars constantly move, motorcycles keep honking, and drivers are loud. Because there is no traffic light, police control the intersection, adding their constant whistles to the overall noise—an interesting spectacle but potentially disruptive. Overall, it’s a good hotel with excellent service, and I would recommend it.
