The spot is mainly very convenient for those who want to walk in and out of St Julian’s; the new terrace with pool is a great plus. Cleanliness is average, the room is a bit noisy next to the reception, breakfast is somewhat sparse, overall it matches a *** rating, but with an extra €50 you could enjoy a 4‑star setup in that area, so the price might be a bit overrated.

Nothing good. We’re not new to Malta, but on this occasion the usual hotels were booked out, so we chose this Allegro Hotel… which turned out to be disappointing. The room is small with extremely uncomfortable beds. The bathroom is tiny and the drain didn’t work. Hot water was barely enough, and with a newborn it wasn’t easy. The air‑conditioner emitted a strong sewage smell, even in the stairwell and corridors, so we kept it off. The mini‑fridge seemed to heat up instead of cooling, and we had to throw out the baby’s food. I asked for a room change but none were available. After the first night I had to book and move to another hotel without any refund. Not recommended.
