The villa itself is absolutely stunning and deserves 10/10. It’s spacious, modern, beautifully furnished, exceptionally well equipped, and very well maintained. We were genuinely impressed by the property’s quality. Unfortunately, our overall experience was heavily affected by several factors that weren’t fully apparent beforehand. The villa sits on a busy road, right next to bars and restaurants that host live music late into the night, especially on weekends. The outdoor dining area is fully exposed to the street with virtually no privacy, and the BBQ is almost on a side road where cars regularly pass by. As a result, we didn’t use the outdoor space for dining at all, which was a major disappointment given the otherwise beautiful property. We also had a very concerning experience with the swimming pool. After only 15 minutes in the pool, our child’s skin developed severe burns and irritation in sensitive areas. Following a medical consultation, we were advised to avoid the beach because sand could aggravate the wounds. Consequently, we could neither enjoy the pool nor the beach for the rest of our stay. This completely changed the nature of our holiday. In the Algarve, much of the appeal revolves around enjoying the beaches and outdoor lifestyle. Without being able to use either, there was very little left for us to do, and we spent most of the holiday indoors watching TV. It was an incredibly disappointing experience and felt like a significant waste of money. The property itself is wonderful, but due to the location and our unfortunate experience with the pool, we were unable to enjoy the holiday we had planned and paid for.
