I’d rate this stay 9/10, mainly because of the staff. They were exceptionally professional, welcoming, friendly, and genuinely attentive throughout, leaving a strong positive impression that outweighed a few weaker points. The only area that could improve is breakfast: the quality and variety fell short of the hotel’s overall standard and could definitely be better. Still, the staff’s kindness, helpfulness, and pleasantness made it easy to overlook that issue. Excellent hospitality can completely change a stay, and the team here did exactly that. Overall, a very positive experience, and I’d gladly return.

The so‑called non‑smoking room still smelled heavily of smoke, and despite repeated requests we couldn't switch rooms. Only when we were about to leave did another room become available. The toilet flush didn’t work unless you also ran water from the shower head into it. Water leaked out of the toilet below. The shower consisted of just a shower head in the toilet area and a drain hole in the floor, meaning you’d have to stand in the leaking water to shower. No outlet was usable without an adapter. The room was small and dark, situated on a busy, noisy street between skyscrapers, and the lake was not within walking distance. No staff at the reception spoke English, French, or Spanish. The worst part was the smoke smell, especially since my daughter is asthmatic and immediately had breathing problems. We practically fled the hotel.
