If you’re a privileged, entitled traveler (like most reviewers here) accustomed to western/european hotels then just stay in Vĩnh with the other tourists. If you want an authentic Vietnamese experience come stay at Dong Loan

I was relieved to find a place to park my bike safely, but that's where the good news ends. The room had no window, the sheets were dirty, and the bathroom was a mess with no soap and tons of cobwebs. And to think I paid way too much for this dump. The breakfast was some stale rice from the day before with an egg - yeah, that's what I wanted to start my day with.

At first glance, the room seemed clean, and the air conditioning and fan were working. But as I looked closer, I was appalled by the state of the floor - it was incredibly dirty. There was no hot water, only tiny towels, and the noise from the hallway was so loud it woke me up at 7 am. To top it all off, the breakfast was a joke - just one egg and a slice of bread, no coffee. For the price, I've had much better nights in Vietnam.

The one decent thing about this place was the food, which was actually pretty nice. But that's not enough to save this dump from its overall state of disrepair. The whole place feels like it's been run into the ground, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
