I found two bike parking spots, a comfy bed, several bathrooms, and free drinking water, but there was no toilet paper so we had to bring our own. The staff understood us mostly, though there were occasional misunderstandings. A mosque right nearby holds services every day or even multiple times a day, and the loudspeaker makes the sermons clearly audible in the room.

The location is good, but the room and toilets were infested with insects—mosquitoes, two red spiders, ants, and even water mosquitoes—yet the price is low enough that you can't ask for more.

It’s a decent spot for a one- or two-day stay, and I booked the Mount Ijen Tour here and was pleased. Breakfast or meals can be ordered via WhatsApp and delivered to the room, but when I arrived there was no one at the front desk, so I had to send a WhatsApp message, and during my stay no one was physically present, though you can keep in touch through WhatsApp.

The staff were friendly, the mattress comfortable, and the bathroom clean even though it’s shared; the most important thing is the central location, making it easy to get anywhere.

Overall a reasonable place to start for the Ijen trek, and the staff were very helpful—helped me get something from the pharmacy and I’m grateful again! The reception is unfortunately unstaffed, but you can reach the team via WhatsApp. I had an ant colony in my room and a mosque right next door.
