A beautiful hotel – clean, attractive, and convenient, with a large, cozy room, a comfortable bed and pillow, and every detail thought out in Hilton style, from robes and slippers to excellent shampoo and gel. The bathroom doors were glass, but the wall between the bedroom and toilet was opaque. Breakfast was delicious and hearty, offering yogurt, fruit, pastries, sweets, mochi, vegetables, salads, sausages, plenty of greens, decent coffee, standard juices, and several kinds of very tasty local noodles. The restaurant wasn’t crowded and had an outdoor veranda. The front desk staff were friendly, caring, and spoke English. In China, using a phone translator works fine; modern apps translate to Chinese quite well. Behind the hotel sits a very old, authentic, tiny monastery that is unfortunately closed. The location is handy, surrounded by many small restaurants serving local food or American fast‑food, massage salons, and little grocery shops. A four‑storey supermarket is a 10‑minute walk straight toward the lake, selling everything from food and clothing to appliances. The big lake is a 30‑minute walk or a 10‑minute taxi ride costing about 250 RUB. Internet in the hotel was fairly good with no issues at all. Highly recommended!
