The family‑friendly atmosphere was nice, but the quality was lacking.
“Kompletnie nie polecam nikomu styczności z tymi ludźmi ani z tym obiektem.”
I booked this place mainly for the card payment option, which turned out to be unavailable. The owner escorted me to the room and then told me to go to an ATM, after which he vanished. The nearby ATM charged almost €10 in fees for a €20 withdrawal. In the morning, when I tried to settle my bill, nobody was present. After three or four calls, someone answered and complained that they had no record of my details and wouldn’t find a way to return the rest of my money, telling me to sort it out myself. Such people shouldn’t run any agrotourism. The bathroom was full of cobwebs and mosquitoes. I had booked for €18, but the owner demanded €20.
“Csak azoknak ajánlom, akik a vidéki hangulatért cserébe elnézőbbek az igényesség terén”
We were disappointed that Majkin Salaš didn’t live up to the expectations the name and location promised. When we arrived, the owner clearly wasn’t prepared for our arrival and spent a long time explaining problems with the Booking system, which we felt were not the guest’s fault. Heating was only turned on that morning, so the room we were first led to was uncomfortably cold. The condition of the rooms was unclear; after opening several doors we finally got another room, which also had faults: the lighting didn’t work fully, and the whole property had many burnt-out bulbs. At the bathroom threshold we found mold spots, a dusty extractor, cracked tiles, and a water‑seeping faucet; the shower dispenser was empty, leaving only a sink. The hospitality was not very proactive: for example, they took back the blackout curtains from the first room we received after finding a warmer one for us, claiming there was no room for them. The site has potential: the first building’s architecture is beautiful, the palatial style is noticeable, and with proper expertise and attention it could become a calm, friendly retreat. Unfortunately, it currently feels like a rustic, underwhelming place, and the music that kept playing until dawn didn’t help forget it. We hope the place will start improving in the future, because the surroundings and facilities deserve better.
“Beautiful and peaceful place under the starry sky.”
The interior and exterior design are great, it’s a very sweet and calm place. It has everything you need for a short stay, and the staff is kind.
