The host Maria was very friendly and helpful, the communal kitchen offered small snacks and drinks around the clock, Bari Centrale station was within walking distance, my room was well sized with a large terrace, but the street was heavily trafficked and there was traffic noise even at night.

“A fost ok”

We liked that it was close to Bari Centrale station and 15‑20 minutes from the center, but we were disappointed that we weren’t told the owner had dogs and that we would be staying in the same house as her. The apartment was essentially a three‑room space, two of which were rented and the owner stayed in the third; it wasn’t very clean, the tiny kitchen was not the issue, but the overall cleanliness was lacking— the microwave looked terrible, there was no sponge for washing dishes. The room cleaning was done but felt careless, the walls were actually dirty, the towels were soiled and didn’t look professionally washed, just home‑cleaned. New towels should be bought because all were stained, torn, and I couldn’t even wipe myself with the shower towel—it was effectively useless.

The property had a balcony and a grocery store nearby. The bathroom wasn’t clean enough. Breakfast was included with coffee, biscuits, pre‑packed pastries, yogurt, and fruit, but it could have been more generous. Talking to the owner was tough because they don’t speak English, and getting into the place was a hassle since we didn’t receive the code in advance. The accommodation is a 30‑minute walk from the center.
