The resort’s bungalow was clean, spacious, well‑equipped, and the shower had hot water; Wi‑Fi worked, breakfast had many options, and the staff were excellent. We asked the reception lady for help finding a taxi the next day; she located a driver, we agreed on a price, but an hour later she informed us that the driver was demanding extra payment. She then called someone and handed the phone to me, revealing it was her manager who apologized, saying the driver’s demand was unacceptable and that the company would resolve it with a different driver. They were not at fault and had only tried to help, so I recommend Wanathara Resort for its nice place and people. I suggest they consider offering a taxi or bike service, since the area is remote and hiring a driver is difficult.
