The Douglas Hotel, situated on the picturesque Isle of Arran, boasts panoramic views of Brodick Bay. Its 10-minute walk to Brodick centre offers easy access to local attractions. Spacious, elegantly decorated rooms feature luxury bathrooms, flat-screen TVs, and some offer scenic views of Goat Fell. The hotel serves classic Scottish cuisine at the Douglas Bistro and offers fine champagnes and local whiskies at the Douglas Bar.

How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The hotel was super convenient for the ferry terminal and island sightseeing, the car park was handy, and walking along the Brodick promenade was easy; the staff were friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a modern room with plenty of space in the extended part of the hotel, and it was quiet and very comfortable. For the price, the breakfast and other meals were distinctly average—more like “bar meals” standard. I’d stay again but would try eating elsewhere.

The hotel was in a good spot near the ferry terminal and a short walk from town centre. The room was large, clean, and very comfortable with a decent bathroom. Breakfast was very good with a wide range of options. The restaurant offered several choices and the bar served food in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing to complain about.

Breakfast was excellent, with several Scottish dishes to choose from. Special thanks to Kate at reception for her smile, help, and lovely accent 😊. The bar could have more snacks and drinks, and the restaurant prices were just a bit high.
