This place feels friendly and welcoming. The new owners have plans and are currently renovating the lodge, so it will be even better. The facilities are great. There’s nothing I didn’t like, but a lot of work still needs to be done, and the new owners are taking on that challenge.

The staff were friendly. The staircase to our room was broken and looked awful. There was dog poop near the bushes by the parking spot, so the smell wasn’t pleasant. When we entered our room, we saw that the toilet had brown stains from the previous guest. There were holes in the doors. All the outlets required a power strip, so as a foreigner I couldn’t use my travel plug except for one in the bathroom. The room was very hot and had no air conditioning. The shared kitchen was very dirty. The hallway was noisy; if someone slams their door, you’re almost standing upright in bed.

The chalet was nice and comfortable, with good off-street parking. It’s close to the thermal park area and only a 25‑minute walk to the main shopping centre, and the lakefront and government gardens are also nearby. The shared kitchen wasn’t very clean, and we could only find one hotplate that worked.

The atmosphere was good, though everything and nothing seemed to work. We had a nice time with family and made very good memories. The double bed was very comfortable. However, the equipment didn’t function properly, the bed height was limited, and we still keep a good memory of the mishaps.
