“desagradable”
Cleanliness and quietness are the only good things about the place. The tiny hotel is a few meters from Hitler’s suicide site, and something of that vibe seems to have rubbed off on the owners. The hotel is otherwise clean because the cleaning lady is the only staff member. The two owners we saw were completely unfriendly, didn’t greet or help anyone, and were rarely at their workplace. In our case and in three other cases we saw, there was no one to welcome new guests, so we had to wait at the entrance. The worst issue was accessibility: we booked because it claimed to be fully accessible and I was traveling with a friend in a wheelchair. The owner saw my friend in a wheelchair but didn’t care at all and gave us an arbitrary room without an adapted bathroom; the public bathroom was also not adapted. That afternoon we couldn’t find him again, and the next day we sent an urgent message via booking but still couldn’t locate him. When we finally found him and saw that there was an adapted room, he wouldn’t change ours and neither he nor his partner spoke English, despite being in the tourism business. We insisted for three days but no room change or solution was offered (not even from booking), so my friend couldn’t shower normally for three days. The only thing they said, in a very bad tone, was that the room was occupied and nothing could be done, yet the day after our arrival it was free, so they could have changed it. If you have any conscience, don’t stay at places like this—they’re shameless. The neighborhood is residential and pretty but far from the real city highlights and incredibly dull.
