The restaurant by the lake was closed. We booked a room on the lake side hoping to dine at the lakeside restaurant, but we didn’t book a lake‑view room because we thought we could still see the lake while having dinner.

I’ve stayed at the Riesserseehotel twice before, this time in the Seehaus, and I was again very satisfied. The staff were friendly and attentive, the breakfast was generous and met every request. The room was spotless! If I return to Garmisch, I’ll book this hotel again. Nothing to complain about.

The location is great, the staff are friendly, and the rooms are well equipped. The place is very quiet. However, although the breakfast selection was large, the hot dishes were cold and there were no warmed plates. I would have liked the breakfast knives to be able to cut; the ones provided were not suitable for cutting fruit, sausage, or bread. The mattress felt worn out. Still, I would stay there again.
