Although the restaurant was actually closed, the host was ready to feed us. The food was very pricey, but the quality made everything good again. Simply great. The stairs in our room. High bed, I say.

The place was spotless and tidy all the way through, and the restaurant was really good—definitely worth booking if you’re staying here. Nothing else to add.

The property itself is tastefully and warmly decorated. Whether it’s the restaurant/ breakfast area or the room, it feels like a family‑friendly, pleasant place. The room was beautiful and spacious, as was the bathroom. The bed was large and the bedding quality was high; the mattress was a bit soft (about 3/5 firmness for us who prefer it firmer, 4/5). Breakfast was delicious and of high quality, homemade and local—hot bread, good baguette, fruit, cheeses, cold cuts, eggs, bacon, homemade jams, homemade yogurt, granola, juice, and more. We also tried the restaurant we recommend; the dishes were of quality, well‑worked, and nicely presented, made with fresh seasonal ingredients. We really enjoyed it! The owner was very friendly, available without being intrusive. In short, it was a short but lovely stay and a good starting point for great hikes.

The food was tasty, the outdoor lounge chair was nice, and the staff were friendly. However, there was no window screen, so we couldn’t open the room window because of the insects. There was also a candle scent or something similar in the room, which is unbearable for a migraine sufferer.
