Quiet despite a central location; a small courtyard, Arroios is a great neighborhood away from the city center tourist bustle. Still, the metro gets you to Rossio in a few minutes. The hotel gave excellent recommendations for authentic restaurants in Arroios, and with Bolt you can reach the airport in 15 minutes for a few euros (traffic permitting). The staff were very friendly. No complaints!

The room and bathroom were spacious and very clean, and the receptionist was friendly and helpful; we didn’t use the jetted tub or common kitchen, but they were nice amenities. The only downside was the stairs, which we knew about when booking; being in our 70s made them a challenge, though the metro noise below was not an issue for us.

I appreciated the pastries and instant coffee that helped kick off my day, and it was nice to have a kitchen with basic items like wine glasses and a corkscrew. I wish we’d known there was no lift, so we could have prepared to carry our luggage up the stairs; the staff were very kind and moved us to a room on the lowest floor.

The location is great, just a short walk to the U-Bahn, and the hotel itself is lovely with a small garden right in the city center. The only downside is there’s no elevator, but that was mentioned in the description.
