The cleanliness and staff friendliness were commendable. The lack of an elevator on the top floor made carrying luggage difficult; someone could offer a hand to those who aren’t very young.

Located in central Porto's historic União de Freguesias do Centro, OportoHouse is a family-run hotel within a 5-minute walk of Clérigos Tower and Palacio da Bolsa. Its rooms feature natural stone walls, antique wooden furniture, and bright colours, with some offering balconies, city views, or sloped ceilings. A continental breakfast and snack bar are available, along with car and bicycle hire, and tourist information at the 24-hour front desk.

A 7.0/10 rating: the spot is great, towels are plentiful, and the balcony is nice, but the AC was broken and the hotel changed the entry code on its own without telling us or putting a sign up.

I scored it 6.0/10: the place is well positioned and close to everything, but the alley feels oddly strange after dark.

I gave it an 8.0/10: we really appreciated Mr Henrique’s friendliness, the room was huge, and the sofa bed was super comfy, though there was street noise at night.

Localização exelente. Ficamos no quarto n10, no último piso.
