The pension sits close to Sanssouci Palace Park and a decent restaurant is within walking distance; the host communicated well even though we never met in person, and the room was a good size. The furniture and decor feel outdated and the mattress was far too soft for my taste, the shower was cramped to navigate, and an odd, not unpleasant but not pleasant, odor lingered in the room.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location in the city was great, but if you’re unlucky it can get very loud coming from the street.
