The hotel's central location made it an ideal choice for exploring the area

“Will be looking to try other hotels next time when I'm at the area.”
The pet‑friendly policy was a pleasant surprise. Some staff were very helpful and friendly, and the pet room had easy outside access, making it simple to let the dog out. We didn’t use many of the other facilities because we spent our time touring, but the shower was excellent and the AC effective. The lift made a screeching metal noise that frightened an elderly couple who were supposed to use it. The carpets were stained, the décor dated, and the AC had to be reset from reception before use. The beds were not very comfortable, and the pillows even less so. A few restaurant staff were extremely rude.
“Excellent stay very welcoming great staff and breakfast!”
Everything was perfect, no complaints at all.
Run down Over priced Breakfast paid 4.50 per tray and it was wrong Man walked in room when we were in bed
“Avoid it! Don’t bother! Unfriendly staff and dated hotel!”
The only thing I liked about the hotel was that I left! This was by far the worst hotel I’ve stayed in, even among many work trips. The only positive I could find was that the beds were okay and comfortable. The reception staff were unhelpful and sometimes unpleasant. I had booked a spa package that included the pool and spa for my wife’s 9th‑anniversary night. Upon arrival we were told that we couldn’t use the spa and would have to pay £20 × person × night. I showed them screenshots from the Q&A confirming the spa was included, but they said the policy had changed since 2019 and asked what I expected them to do. The spa changing rooms were dated, most lockers were broken, and I felt my valuables were unsafe. I also saw a dad and his son ask to use the pool at checkout, and the receptionist said, “you only have 20 min before it closes and I will make sure you leave at closing time!” When we went to the main restaurant for dinner, they told us (even though it was empty) that they probably couldn’t give us a table because they expected to be busy—unacceptable for a romantic anniversary meal. Finally, the room was very dated and tired, like the rest of the hotel.
“A nice relaxing weekend break”
The spa stood out as the highlight of the stay, though there was a small mix‑up when paying for it because I assumed it was included for guests.
