The view from the lodge is very beautiful, and the breakfast is high quality; overall service was adequate, with the specific issues mentioned in the review. We found very dirty sofas and, on some days, the pool was also dirty, even with bird droppings on the edges. General maintenance needs attention, especially the floor varnish and gardening care. We witnessed a staff argument with profanity; the next day one of the involved staff members was still listening to loud videos on his phone even after we complained, which disrupted the peace we expected. We also had no hot water in the room one night, and the internet was very poor. Given the price, we expected better cleanliness, space upkeep, and a quieter environment; these problems together ruined the value of the stay.
