“Bizzarro e terribile”
I’ve worked in hundreds of hotels and B&Bs, but none matched this place. After a 600 km drive, they ask me to remove my shoes and offer slippers, claiming shoes bring dirt and disease. In my room I find two New Testaments on the nightstands, yet no bottle of water. The lounge has a table with brochures praising God and prayer, but breakfast isn’t served. In the middle of the lounge floor, I spot a beautiful scorpion, and the owner insists it must have entered with guests’ shoes. When the final goodbye comes, they say all guests love receiving a New Testament along with the receipt. The most polite reply I could give is that I’d have preferred a bottle of water over a Bible. All of this after paying 110 Euro upfront, non‑refundable. Score? 0.
