The place was very good on the route, the dinner was excellent value, the breakfast was also good, and the establishment was generally presentable and maintained. The en‑suite bathroom had an unpleasant smell, probably from a drain issue; it wasn’t very good and I had to keep the bathroom door closed.

The welcome was warm and cosy, and the restaurant looked beautiful with delicious food that instantly gave me a family‑hotel vibe; breakfast had a French flair and after 20 years of driving past the place countless times, the exterior always seemed inviting, which turned out to be true inside as well. One downside: the bath towels were excessively stiff, so they never dried fully in the outdoor sun.

The location was perfect, and the reception was simple and kind. We received the twin beds we requested in our room. Breakfast was traditional and served in a hall. We could use more variety in breads—whole‑grain, baguette, brioche, etc.

The room was a good size, breakfast was hearty, and the staff were lovely. Watch out for the entrance path: after the round‑about you must turn toward the castle and then immediately right.
