Top location and very friendly staff; the open fireplace and freshly tapped beer from the bar are especially delightful.

They went above and beyond to accommodate every request, making the lodge feel like home, offering daily baked goods, and delivering kind, spotless service in a spacious, comfortable setting.

It felt like home and everyone was very kind, but the shower system can be frustrating if you don’t have an ensuite—you either have to book a time slot or wait outside the bathroom because the showers are located in the onsen area.

We stayed at Raicho Lodge and were absolutely delighted; the staff were kind, helpful, warm, and always went the extra mile to keep things smooth. Their local advice and genuine care really enhanced our trip. The lodge is conveniently within walking distance of lifts and restaurants, and the cozy atmosphere—especially around the fireplace—made for great chats with fellow guests after a day on the slopes, feeling more like a welcoming mountain home than a typical hotel. Our room was spacious and well equipped, with a very comfortable bed and a strong, hot shower, exactly what you need after skiing. The onsen was excellent, the perfect way to unwind each evening. I highly recommend Raicho Lodge to anyone seeking comfort, friendliness, and an authentic alpine lodge experience. No complaints.
