The hotel is very cleverly designed, rooms are clean and have everything needed. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, knows English. Daily towel changes are a plus and there is balcony access. The roofbar is beautiful, offering a lovely view of the island panorama (p.s. it’s a pity you can’t have the hotel breakfast there ;)). Breakfast at the hotel is quite average. There’s a selection from the buffet (but fairly limited) and a hot breakfast option (omelette/English breakfast, etc.) but it’s quite small, and the service rarely refills the buffet when it runs out. The roofbar has a fairly high service charge for Vietnam (10%) even though the bar isn’t cheap at all. The hotel restaurant also serves average food.

“Confortable”

The location is great, with windows and a balcony, and a short walk to a few beaches; laundry service is handy. The pool closes at 8 pm, and the mini‑fridge in the room barely cools. Adding floor squeegees in the bathrooms would help remove standing water. Breakfast wasn’t refilled on time; one morning after 8 am there was almost nothing left, even the coffee ran out. There are many rules that can feel a bit restrictive, but they’re clear from the start.

Room was nice, clean and comfy, hotel and public areas are very characteristic (cave themed). We didn't use the tour office services. Location is perfect to enjoy Cat Ba town centre and the beaches. Every night there is a different event at the bar, bar has a nice view and the bar service is spot on. Breakfast has diversity in options, but definitely advice arriving early as fruits can run out. Very close to the beach, specially Cat Ba 3 (the best). Had a poor service at the restaurant, we couldn't book 2 different set menus (the expensive ones). We've been told we could only take the same menu from the same price range, without a clear explanation. We then got the wrong order for 1 main dish. Long story short, I had to wait almost 1 hr to get my main dish, I was literally starving. After a bit of request, I got a small discount on the bill. Too bad the SunWorld is taking over the beachfront, but that has nothing to do with the hotel

The location, reception décor, and hotel lobby evoke the island’s caves, and the Wi‑Fi is very good and stable. The bathroom is oddly designed without a shower cabin; when showering the entire room becomes wet and the drain is tucked behind the toilet. The room is small, lacks bottled water, and is poorly sound‑proofed – even quiet conversations can be heard as if they were happening on the balcony through the windows. Early one morning, around 6 am, music was turned on while we were still sleeping, preventing further rest; after about 30 minutes it was turned off and everything was quiet until breakfast.
