The room was great with views and a nice pool, and the restaurant served excellent food, smoothies, and coffee at reasonable prices. The staff were very friendly and available. It was a bit pricey, and breakfast was limited for the price, with an extra charge for a fuller spread. The view is fantastic, but it’s a bit far from the market and the center of Sangkhom.

If I could, I’d give Sand & River Hotel 12 stars; the hospitality was truly exceptional, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome from the moment I arrived, and the atmosphere is warm and friendly throughout. Everywhere you look, staff are cleaning, gardening, maintaining the property, and serving guests with smiles and kind greetings. The room was spotless, extremely comfortable, and the river view was beautiful. I also enjoyed two meals at the restaurant overlooking the river; the food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Overall, the hotel offers a wonderfully tranquil experience, and I’m already looking forward to returning soon. Highly recommended!

The pool and river location were great, and they did accommodate our request for a ground‑floor room, telling us they would combine the single beds into a double. In reality, they just left two single beds pushed together, which felt like a lack of forethought, especially since we were on our honeymoon. We kept the room because we asked for it, but they really should have tried harder. I rearranged the beds myself and used other furniture to keep them from sliding apart. On the second day I requested double‑size bedding, and even though they could see what I was doing, they still didn’t provide it, instead delivering an extra set of single sheets—no proactive effort. The breakfast was minimal for a new hotel, and I had to ask for simple things like warming my inexpensive chicken sausages. One day, during a group booking, they used Bain Maree warmers but didn’t even light the burners, so everything from sausages to eggs to rice was served cold.
