Nothing. Formal Complaint Regarding My Stay – Serious Security, Hygiene and Maintenance Concerns Dear Enrich Hotel Shah Alam Management, I am writing to formally document my experience during my recent stay at Enrich Hotel Shah Alam and to express my serious concerns regarding the condition and security of the room that was provided to me. I booked and paid for my accommodation in good faith, expecting a basic, safe and clean hotel room. Unfortunately, what I experienced upon arriving at the property was extremely distressing and resulted in me being unable to sleep or reasonably remain in the room. I have photographs and videos documenting the condition of the room and am able to provide these if required. 1. Serious security issue with the room door The most serious concern was the condition of the room door and locking mechanism. The lock was physically broken and had been covered with duct tape as a temporary measure. The duct tape was visibly covering the damaged locking mechanism, and the lock could not function in the way a normal hotel room lock is intended to function. The door was not functioning properly, and it became apparent that the room could only be accessed using a master key because of the problem with the normal lock. Although I was able to lock the door from inside, hotel staff with a master key were still able to unlock/access the room from outside. As a woman travelling alone, I found this extremely concerning. I need to be able to rely on the door of my hotel room being properly secured when I am inside it, particularly during the night. This was not simply an inconvenience or a matter of personal preference. It was a fundamental safety and security concern that made me uncomfortable remaining in the room. 2. Extremely poor hygiene and dirty bedding The bedding and sheets provided in the room were visibly dirty and did not appear to have been properly cleaned or changed in preparation for a new guest
