The hotel has a nice pool and a fun slide in the kids’ pool, which was great for our 2‑ and 6‑year‑olds. The gardens are beautiful, well‑maintained, and especially atmospheric in the evening thanks to the lighting. The front desk arranged a surf lesson for us and booked it. The breakfast buffet was good and extensive, with very friendly and helpful waiters. We also received a free upgrade to a terrace room, which was a nice touch. It was also convenient that the hotel provides beach chairs that you can take to the beach—a real plus. Unfortunately, the bathroom and shower at the beach were a bit messy and could use better cleaning. The reception was not very friendly. When we arrived, a large tax amount was added on top of the price, which wasn’t clear at booking. When we asked, the response was not very friendly, and no help was offered to carry our luggage to the room. The restaurant was expensive, so we didn’t use it. That was a pity, because with more reasonable prices we would have used the hotel’s facilities and service more. Small items were also pricey; for example, an ice cream cost about four times what it does in the supermarket. The hotel does provide pool and beach towels, but they were so small that we ended up using our own. For families with young children, the playground and kids’ pool should be better maintained and cleaned. The trampoline was always full of leaves and other dirt, and a nail was loose on the play equipment. After I reported it to staff, it was quickly fixed. The playground surface is made of large, painful pebbles, which we think is not very suitable or safe for small kids. The kids’ pool also didn’t seem to be cleaned daily, as sand and leaves regularly accumulated. Overall, there are nice facilities, but with more attention to hospitality, maintenance, and a more reasonable price level for food and drinks, our experience could have been much more positive. Keep in mind that the hotel is located at Playa Carrillo, not Samara. For activities, cash withdrawals, etc., it’s about 15–20 minutes by car.

“Beautiful boutique hotel!”

I’ve stayed here twice and keep coming back because the boutique vibe, the gardens, and the spot are perfect. The team is warm and welcoming, especially the people at the restaurant and the pool bar. The only thing that could be better is that the beach towels feel a little small and not as plush as I’d like.

The staff were super friendly, the pools gorgeous, and there were free beach beds available. The breakfast, however, lacked a bit of personality; there was plenty to choose from but it felt somewhat bland.

“A beautiful property with genuinely caring front-line staff, undermined by a management team that showed no accountabili”

The property itself is stunning, and the pool and restaurant staff were consistently warm, attentive, and a real highlight of our visit. Their kindness made the time with my son and my parents feel special. The front desk repeatedly told me in person that I’d been overcharged compared to their own rate, but after two nights and five requests, no one could provide any written proof, nor did anyone offer to involve a supervisor even though I was visibly stressed with my young son. When I followed up with management later, I received a written reply denying what the staff had verbally confirmed multiple times, and the response didn’t match the publicly listed rates. Further emails asking for clarification were never answered.
