“Séjour malheureusement très décevant. L’accueil a été froid.”
The breakfast was decent but nothing special. Our stay was very disappointing, especially the reception and the gap between advertised services and the actual experience. We were not at all pleased with how we were welcomed; from the moment we arrived we felt uncomfortable and often sensed that we were bothering the staff when we asked for help. We had told the hotel we were traveling with my 6‑month‑old‑pregnant sister and my 60‑year‑old mother, yet our room was on an upper floor, far from the common areas, with no real window or natural light—totally unsuitable for our situation and very regrettable. Many services were either unavailable or required long‑term reservations. We had serious trouble eating on site. Although it’s not a restaurant per se, given the location it would have been nice to be able to eat lunch or dinner on the premises without having to book several days ahead. Breakfast was fine but not exceptional. The timings seemed too late for the island’s activities; it was hard to leave early in the morning without skipping breakfast. We were also surprised to have to pay for the water we drank. In Morocco tap water isn’t potable, so we had to buy bottled water even for basic needs like brushing teeth. It would have been nice if at least a small bottle of water were provided free at check‑in. Overall, the reception and service lacked warmth and friendliness; we sometimes felt our requests were annoying.
