“Estancia ideal para ir con peques.”
The common areas – terrace, patio, lounge with a pool table, and the huge pool – were great. The house is in Porto da Espada, ten minutes from Portagem. The town is very quiet, has a couple of restaurants and a bakery (check the hours). The common area has a fridge, microwave, capsule coffee machine and toaster, so you can make breakfasts and snacks. There’s no supermarket in town, so bring basics like milk, water, bread, oil, salt, a bit of dish soap, paper towels. Our room had a mini fridge and air conditioning. In Portagem there are a few basic shops; I recommend the Castelo da Vide supermarket (12 km). The house has no kitchen and barbecues aren’t allowed. If you plan to eat in Portagem it’s better to book because there aren’t many restaurants and they can fill up, especially on weekends. Because it’s a local accommodation, the order and cleanliness of the rooms is your responsibility. The bed in my room was a bit small (I’m 1.75 m). If you’re staying long, ask if there are rooms with larger beds.
