We’d definitely recommend this spot in Rotorua – it was a solid choice.

I’ve stayed at many B&Bs across the country, and Jen’s place stands out for its cleanliness, warmth in chilly weather, and welcoming vibe. The unit feels modern, with a small kitchen that has more appliances than you’d actually need for a B&B. Jen is very friendly and serves a great breakfast. It sits on a quiet street, close to OSP and the town center, so I’d definitely come back next time.

The apartment is spacious, featuring a large living room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom, all well equipped. The location is convenient, with Te Puia within walking distance. Breakfast is offered. The only downside is the limited selection of egg dishes; the kitchen only has milk and cereals, and the coffee is just average, which is normal for New Zealand. Occasionally, only toast with jam is available.

Breakfast is simple but pleasant. The host is attentive, checking in regularly to see if everything is fine. Proximity to Redwood Forest, Te Puia, the town, and the shopping centre is ideal – almost everything is within walking distance. A heated mattress topper during cooler periods is a lovely bonus!
