1 double bed
The place is near the Vatican and the area is pretty nice. The staff were helpful and responded quickly to problems. My standards might be higher, but the cleaning was poor. There was a clear stain on the bedsheet when we arrived. During our four‑night stay the staff kept using the same bedsheets and towels instead of replacing them with fresh ones.
The person who welcomed us clearly didn’t check how many guests we were; they left only one complimentary bottle of water for two people. In the first room we got, the air conditioning didn’t work even after they tried to fix it, so we were moved to another room. The air conditioning there worked reasonably well—it wasn’t perfect, but it was acceptable. The bathroom door handle was barely attached, and because of this we got locked inside the bathroom and had to struggle to get out. Overall, there were several shortcomings in both service and room quality.
The staff were very accommodating; I asked if I could drop my bags off a few hours before check‑in, but my flight was delayed and I arrived around check‑in time. I didn’t realize there was no reception, yet one of their team members had arrived several hours early and waited for me, which was very kind. The location was good, within walking distance to the Vatican, and there were plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby. We booked this hotel specifically for air conditioning during the middle of summer, but it barely worked and we could barely sleep because it was so hot. I asked the staff if the unit was faulty after the first night; they checked it and said it was fixed, yet it didn’t improve. I ended up sleeping with the balcony door open for the rest of the stay because it was cooler than the air conditioning, but I woke up with a lot of mosquito bites.
“Не рекомендую.”
The toilets and bathroom were cleaned. The room turned out to be different from the photo. I booked a room with curtains for 8 people, but got a room without curtains for 3 people. A customer should receive the place they booked, not whatever is left.
The room was spacious and clean, and it even had a coffee machine inside. The staff who handled our check‑in were friendly, but we struggled a bit to understand each other. The room was constantly exposed to sunlight, so we had to close the blinds completely and run the central air conditioning for the whole short stay.
