“Very peaceful and traditional”
The staff were very pleasant, welcoming and helpful, especially Lorena who went above and beyond, ensuring we had everything we needed and recommending local eats; breakfast was good, and the rural, tranquil setting with great night skies was loved. The building, renovated to a high standard in traditional Spanish rural style, offered plenty of parking. We stayed four nights from Monday to Thursday and discovered there was no formal reception, bar, or water‑purchase facility, and the restaurant only opened Thursday to Sunday evenings. We had to drive to nearby towns for food, water, and snacks like olives and cheese for an early evening drink; the village bars were closed on Monday. Lorena supplied water and a fridge for the room, and directed us to a local hotel serving food on Monday, and we found other options later. It would have been better if water, wine, and snacks were available for purchase even if just an honesty bar. The setting was so lovely that we enjoyed a glass of wine from the balcony or courtyard, but we had to buy it in town first.
