The pool was undeniable, the kitchen was equipped, and the iron was professional; everything was accessible. However, the kitchen lacked storage so everything had to stay on the counter.

Our suite was huge – four of us had plenty of room – and it’s a charming farmhouse on the outskirts of Alomartes, a tiny village in the Íllora area. There’s a pool that reaches about 1.90 m deep, wide and clean, with five loungers and umbrellas for sunbathing or stargazing at night. Right next to it is a barbecue area and a gas‑cooker equipped with several paella pans and a table that seats twelve. The accommodation includes two three‑bedroom units, one of which has a double bed, each with a large, immaculate bathroom. There’s also a guard’s house on the grounds, a suite with a sofa, big windows, a king‑size bed, a smaller bathroom and a single shower. The kitchen is stocked with plates, glasses, pots and other essentials, plus a washing machine and dishwasher. A spacious sitting‑room with a dining area, board games and books is also available. Every room has both air‑conditioning and heating. All in all, staying there was a perfect choice. The only hiccup was the coffee maker, which was hit‑or‑miss – sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t.

The hosts were very welcoming! A small haven of peace and quiet.

It was really quiet and peaceful at night, with free coffee, tea, and jam. The pool was well maintained. The shower in the room we had was very small and sometimes emitted a bad smell.

The room felt very comfortable, the beds were wonderful and the linens were outstanding, surpassing what I expected. At first the distance from the city seemed like a drawback, but it quickly turned into a pleasant feature.
