The room was clean, though I had requested a non‑smoking room and there was a slight odor that was addressed with a spray like Febreze. The walk to the station was within walking distance, but it could be closer. The view from the window was a temple, and it would have been nice if they had kept the morning café, but they stopped it, which was disappointing.

The price and location are undeniable; it's about a 5‑minute walk from Osaka/Umeda station and well connected to several lines around Osaka, including the Dotonbori area, and having a FamilyMart right below the hotel is always a bonus for any tourist. The room is extremely small, and although the bed is advertised as suitable for two people, it feels quite tight for two adults—sleeping together means you’re practically pressed against each other. Another downside is that the hotel doesn’t offer a luggage transfer service between hotels, which is pretty important for those of us traveling around Japan. Finally, Booking lists a bar, but the bar is closed and doesn’t appear to be operational; that info should be updated to avoid false expectations.

Staying near Umeda and the SKY Theatre was perfect, with a reasonable price range; although the bustling district is close, the hotel sits a little off the main street so it stayed quiet and convenient, and there are plenty of tasty izakayas nearby. The room was small but cleverly designed, making it feel surprisingly spacious.
