“Place was lovely but definitely needs an upgrading”
The property was beautiful and spacious. I loved the fireplace and how it was set up. They had a few essentials like washing‑up liquid, tea, coffee and sugar for a morning cuppa. When we arrived, the lights didn’t work outside or in the hall at the door, so because we were in the cabin near the back I had to use my phone torch to see what I was doing. The fridge‑freezer was broken, but they put a mini one in, which I thought was great, but when I opened it I saw the freezer bit at the top wouldn’t shut. I still put my food in there, but the next morning my food in the fridge started to freeze over, and there were no side drawers for milk. The bedroom with the en‑suite door had missing screws, so the handle moved around, and the carpet next to the en‑suite had a mark that looked like wetness. The kitchen had pots and a tray for the oven, plenty of plates and cutlery. Cups and glasses were plenty, but a few glasses had chips, and there were no wooden spoons, spatulas, etc., so I had to use metal spoons to stir soup. The measuring jug had cracks on the side and bottom, and the sofa had a rip in it.
