Dario and Gigi made me feel right at home, always ready to chat, give advice, or talk surf; the water filter was handy and the place spotless; a lovely patio, a small gym area, and a terrace for socialising; the kitchen was compact but social and well equipped; everyone at the hostel was kind, and I spent a great 2.5 weeks in Huanchaco getting to know the local community and surfers; plenty of space to store surfboards and shower; I adored cuddling the cats and dogs; thanks Gigi and Dario! The facilities aren’t as fancy as ATMA, but the atmosphere and friendliness more than compensate.

La atención y amabilidad de Darío durante toda nuestra estadía nos hizo sentir como en casa!! Nos aconsejó y brindó información sobre la zona y lugares a visitar. La ubicación del hostel es ideal, a una cuadra y media de la playa, es muy limpio, ordenado y acogedor. Tuvimos la posibilidad de hacer late check out !! Muy buena relación precio-calidad. Es el lugar ideal para quienes deseen relajarse y disfrutar de la compañía de los peluditos!!

I absolutely loved my stay at Punta Huanchaco. The hosts Dario and Gigi are wonderful people and they will try their absolute best to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The hostal is very social, so it is great for solo travellers that want to meet new friends. The rooms are spacious and clean. The location if fantastic for surfing and Dario and Gigi will gladly help you to find surf equipment and surf lessons. Thank you both for having me! 🙂

My stay at Punta Huanchaco was hands down a highlight of my trip, mainly down to the kindness and generosity of Dario and Gigi. They look after their guests like they are family and really made me feel at home. Their place is also spotlessly clean, has a very restful relaxed vibe, and there are many adorable cats (and dogs). Do not hesitate to stay here!. Nothing to dislike!
