The breakfast is pretty full and tasty; the best thing about the hotel is its location, and for being almost the only one in the area, the price feels quite reasonable.

The hotel sits right in the middle of nature, close to hiking paths and scenic viewpoints, and there are restaurants nearby. The room comes with a small fridge and a microwave. The furnishings and equipment feel dated. Breakfast isn’t included, is pricey even by Icelandic standards, and only starts at 8:00 a.m. The shower uses an electric water heater, and the hotel warns that hot water is limited, suggesting guests limit usage so it doesn’t run out. I paid a decent amount for plenty of hot water without having to watch my shower time. The room is adjacent to the parking lot, especially the bus parking area, which blocks the view and makes it hard to enjoy it from inside.

The location is amazing, and we could see the ocean from the window. Nothing else to note.

The place is well located, has a kitchenette for simple meals, a fridge, a microwave, is clean, bright, and has plenty of space for luggage. Three beds accommodate a family of four, and the rooms are separate. It’s a stand‑alone apartment. The sofa bed cushion is sunken, and the pillow is exactly like the one someone else reviewed—sleeping on a folded towel. Reception could be friendlier. The kitchenette lacks a table cloth, and we, four people, only got three forks.

The location is great, the bungalows are huge, clean, new, and well organized. In late September only one restaurant was open, and there’s no way to buy groceries nearby. The bungalows are far from the reception, and when it rains they’re inconvenient for loading and unloading luggage.
