“Weg van de wereld en dat mag wat kosten.”
The spot is unique, perched on a peninsula surrounded by water, with large ships, small sailboats, many birds, and divers in the water. I chose the ground‑floor units, but to get inside you have to climb about 10 steps up and 5 down, plus some thresholds, which was not ideal for my 85‑year‑old mother. The lighting in the home was lacking; the automatic switches in the bathroom and toilet were annoying. Bedroom light was insufficient, barely illuminating the wardrobe, and the bedside lamp hung so high you had to stand to reach it. Emergency lighting above the side entrance in the living room glows a harsh, bright white 24/7. A rug in one unit curled sharply at the edges. The kitchens lacked enough plates, glasses, etc., and there was no scissors.
