The hotel sits right at the entrance to Ankara Castle, offering superb city views; the staff are extremely attentive, the food excellent, and the rooms spacious. I’d also highly recommend visiting the museum inside the hotel. Every detail seems carefully considered, and the staff are highly experienced and courteous.

The renovation of the old caravanserai is beautiful, with stylish furniture and décor in the rooms and a well-arranged bathroom. The American-style music is weak, clashes with the setting, and plays all day in the common areas; the breakfast price is exorbitant, far beyond the 20€ advertised; access is difficult, either by a long, steep walk or by taxi (no public transport); the small bedroom window offers no view, blocked by harsh trees; the atmosphere feels cold (as expected for a luxury hotel?), and there’s a lack of social spaces.

The location is great, right in front of one of the citadel gates and a short walk from the archaeological museum. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the old building is charming. The continental breakfast could use improvement – it doesn’t even include yogurt. The staff were not very helpful; after arriving and leaving in a downpour, no one offered to carry our luggage up the external stairs or help load the car.

Good spot, reasonable rates, friendly staff. Breakfast was fine, but the staff should pay more attention to clean uniforms, shoes, and the layout of the breakfast room floor.

A pleasant modern hotel in a restored brick building on a hill, next to the amazing Anatolian Civilizations museum and the small historic fort. Taxis are easy to call, and you can walk 15 minutes to good restaurants. The decor is cool to explore, mostly British colonial themed for some reason. There’s a huge middle hall for common space; it would be nice to have a small gym on site, as the current affiliate gym is too far.
