Our host was delightful; we could have spent hours chatting with him. He reminded me of the fable of the hummingbird that does its part for a better environment and to preserve the beautiful things in the world. We really enjoyed the more than 500‑year‑old house and its iconic pigeonnier of the Pays d’Auge, and the magnificent avenue of linden trees leading up to the house.

Rustic, a pause in time, the pigeon loft is an unusual spot for those looking for a sanctuary. Tranquil in nature, the bedding is great and breakfast features regional products. The owner is passionate and offers nice documentation on the building and area. The breakfast spot is in the loft's bell tower, a bit low for tall people; it might surprise you, but nothing insurmountable.

Very quiet and calm place. Very rural. Old house. Lovely garden and courtyard. Two floors. When it gets very hot, you can't stay on the 1st floor because it becomes too hot. It isn't used much, so there is spiderweb.
