The location is central in Welgevonden and the staff are great. The limited Wi‑Fi has its own charm.

“Exceptional safari stay”

The place was absolutely amazing—tranquil in the middle of the Welgevonden game reserve. The rooms were comfortable and the food tasty. All the staff were attentive and friendly, going beyond our expectations. Our driver Malvin went above and beyond to let us see animals up close; he’s clearly experienced. We hope to return soon!

“Fantastisch , kon niet beter”

Silence, comfort, food, the small scale and the extremely friendly and highly competent staff, and the game drives were unique, especially thanks to the excellent ranger. Nothing else.

“Outstanding Lodge”

EVERYTHING. Shibula is out of this world. Exceptional food. Staff are very attentive. You never need to look for them. Lodge is super clean. The game drives were on another level. Malvin is so knowledgeable and patient. We saw every one of the Big Five. We will definitely be back.
