Because, as they said, the reservation should have been cancelled for technical reasons (the notification came via email an hour before check‑in), the least they could do was call the phone as soon as possible to find a solution. That didn’t happen until I persisted with the staff’s calls, and later a fairly polite manager called but offered no solution. He also didn’t call back to explain the outcome or whether another accommodation had been found for the night.

The layout is clean and central, but there was no one around to help.

The check‑in was easy and the online registration worked, but that’s where the positives end. There was no staff at the reception or on the phone, day or night. The Wi‑Fi was impossible to connect to. The shower was inside the room and the toilet was behind a glass door. There was a layer of dust under the bed, some outlets didn’t work, and the room faced a very noisy street—opening the window was impossible.
