“Awkward rental”
I liked the high ceilings and the hardwood floors; it’s a proper house. However, I didn’t realize that the owner actually lives in the same house and does his everyday activities there, which felt oddly awkward and strange—as if a stranger were intruding into their own space. For the price we paid, the arrangement didn’t feel right. The owner is friendly and pleasant, but I think he should professionalise and keep clear boundaries between what’s a rental and what’s personal. The rental felt like a secondary thought to cover his own expenses.
I could grab a rental scooter right off the bat, and the host even whipped up a tasty chicken curry for us. The shower water pressure was solid. However, the host’s attitude felt unwelcoming, and the helmet options for the scooter weren’t clear. I dropped a helmet, barely scratched it, yet I was hit with a 300P charge—unreasonable, especially when I was told I shouldn’t have taken a brand‑new helmet without knowing the cost scale. When I paid for dinner and the helmet damage, the host added an extra day of scooter rental that I hadn’t asked for or confirmed, and only mentioned the helmet fee after I pushed back on the high price. Also, the dogs next door—about five of them—were unhappy with me, barking every night and even chasing me while I was on the scooter. Be careful.
The building itself was nice, and breakfast was good. The host was very kind, and with the renovations underway I’m sure the place will be even better soon. Nothing to note otherwise.
The host was friendly and helpful, and the value for money was absolutely top.
“We enjoyed the stay. We will stay again for next vacation.”
Breakfast was solid, especially the Denver omelet. No complaints.
