Sleeping in a houseboat in the middle of the jungle was a unique experience. We arrived by a private longtail boat that the hotel arranged for us. The journey itself was unforgettable; Khao Sok is breathtaking. The cabins were roomy, kids could sleep on a separate floor, and the beds were excellent. The private outdoor shower was fun, and we had our own kayak on the terrace—kayaking around the resort is a must. Dinner and breakfast were tasty. However, we had to wait a long time for food at both meals. The pool felt underwhelming and could use a refresh. A tip for the hotel: dim all lights at night so guests can better see the stars.

The location is unique. We paid over €500 for one night and expected better, friendlier service. The morning boat trip was unpleasant: we sat in an open boat and were drenched by heavy rain, with no return to the hotel and no rain gear provided. They had done this the day before, so it felt like a minimum standard. The restaurant food was not veggie or vegan friendly, despite us notifying them beforehand. They claimed vegan breakfast was available, but the next morning it wasn’t obvious, and we had to wait a long time and were late for check‑out (they weren’t flexible; we had to leave at 10 am). It was the most expensive night of my life and I’ll never return. Money wasted!

Everything was excellent. The location right in Khao Sok National Park is absolutely extraordinary and hard to describe. The rooms were beautiful and exceptionally clean, and the service was very high‑level. The whole team’s warmth was particularly impressive—everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and warm. Our daughter felt comfortable from the first moment. A special highlight was our tour with Ava; she was so kind and loving, making our rainforest and waterfall trip unforgettable. Simply fantastic.

The experience was amazing; staff were great, food was very good, and kayaking and swimming were a blast for us and the kids. The facilities could be more practical—there was no fridge or electric kettle, which wasn’t convenient for us.
