I spent a few nights at Hotel Green Horizon while visiting Nepal, and it turned out to be a solid choice. The property sits right in Thamel’s center, so getting to shops, restaurants, and sights is a breeze. Everyone on the front desk and housekeeping was courteous, helpful, and always on hand. The rooms were cozy, and the breakfast spread was tasty and varied. All in all, it’s a good budget option if you want a central spot and friendly staff. I’d definitely book it again.

This was my second stay at the hotel, and I opted for a more comfortable room this time. By mid‑March, hot water had finally appeared, whereas in early February it was barely warm even in the pricier rooms. The staff are welcoming and do their jobs well. The room and linens were clean. Breakfast was excellent, and the courtyard where it’s served is simply gorgeous. However, please replace the toilet in the room. It’s a 1950s model with a narrow pipe from the tank to the bowl, so water flows very slowly and the contents can’t be flushed. I spent 30 minutes on 10 attempts and couldn’t get it working. In the cheaper room I stayed in before, this issue didn’t exist.
