The hotel was lovely and unique, very close to Chatsworth; the staff were friendly and efficient, dinner and breakfast were tasty, the bed was very comfortable, and it was very peaceful, though the pillows were a little too soft.

The décor was tasteful, and the staff were welcoming and attentive the whole time. The evening meal was excellent, full of flavour and meticulous detail, all enhanced by the beautiful gardens.

I stayed at Fischers from Friday to Monday and skipped the restaurant dinner because we were busy with family each night. Breakfast at the hotel was outstanding, with a good range of freshly prepared options; I especially liked the granola, porridge, and potato rosti with eggs. The garden and kitchen garden are worth a stroll, and our garden room was spacious and comfortable. I can't think of anything that needs improvement.
