The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. The beds were comfortable and I liked the pillow variety. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, and because I’m gluten‑free, the staff’s help was very useful. Our room temperature was very warm and we couldn’t cool it down even after trying to adjust the thermostat and heating unit; we didn’t call the front desk because by the time we were ready to retire it was too late, so maybe the issue could have been fixed.

“Beware of post chekout damage charge scam”

I booked a brief overnight at this Best Western Plus on October 4 and later faced a huge headache. A few days after checking out, I was hit with a $550 charge for alleged wall damage that had never been mentioned at check‑in and lacked proper proof. They also kept my $100 deposit until I fought the bill. No photos were supplied of the room before or after my stay, and they admitted they had cleaned the room before taking any pictures, so the wall’s condition was already changed. Their housekeeping log shows no damage before my arrival. After their reply, I scoured recent Google reviews and found more than five similar complaints about surprise post‑checkout damage fees with no clear evidence. This seems to be a regular issue here, not a one‑off. I’ve taken the matter to Best Western Corporate Guest Relations and disputed the charge with my credit card company. Future guests should document the room at both check‑in and check‑out and be wary of these unexpected charges.
